Sodexo Ireland held a Masterclass in Ballymaloe

Not only did they look and taste amazing, but the theatre and attention to detail elevated the drinks to a bespoke level.

In October 2015, Sodexo Ireland held a Masterclass in Ballymaloe led by Rory O’Connell to celebrate our harvest bounty and highlight our commitment towards supporting Irish food. We were introduced to Andy and his team from Raise the Bar and their task was to create a cocktail menu linking seasonality and the wonderful Ballymaloe setting. Foraged flowers and herbs grown in the gardens, autumnal pumpkin accented with lavender and hints of citrus were combined to give a great welcome to our guests. Not only did they look and taste amazing, but the theatre and attention to detail elevated the drinks to a bespoke level. Andy and his team interacted with our guests in a very professional and assured manner while describing the combinations and the lovingly made tinctures used in their creations. Indeed, the non-alcoholic cocktail was a ‘Superstar’ in its own right! I look forward to working with Andy and his team in the future.
